If you’re ordering from Switzerland, it’s important to know how import charges work so there are no surprises on delivery.
Shipping origin
All Swiss orders are shipped from the EU. Because of this, your parcel must go through Swiss customs before delivery.
Customs, VAT & handling fees
Swiss customs may charge import VAT and a handling fee when your parcel enters Switzerland. These charges are set and collected by Swiss customs or Swiss Post and are not controlled by us.
The price you pay at checkout includes the products and shipping from our side, but it does not include any Swiss import charges.
How charges are calculated
In some cases, Swiss customs may calculate fees based on the original product value (before discounts), plus shipping. This means that even if your final payment is below a certain CHF amount, you may still receive a customs invoice.
Paying customs fees
If charges apply, Swiss Post will typically contact you or send an invoice. Handling fees can often be paid online directly to Swiss customs, sometimes with a small discount (e.g. around 1.5%), depending on their current terms.
How to avoid these charges
If you prefer not to deal with customs or additional fees on delivery, you can select our Priority Service at checkout. With this option, customs duties and handling fees are covered by us.
