Shipping Outside the EU: What You Need to Know About Customs and Delivery Times

Ordering from outside the EU? Here’s what to know about customs and delivery times when shopping with Meroda Cosmetics.

Updated over a month ago

At Meroda Cosmetics, we’re proud to serve customers around the world. If you're ordering from a country outside the European Union, here's what you need to know about customs and delivery times.

When you place your order with us, we process and ship it as quickly as possible. However, once your package leaves our warehouse and enters customs in your country, the timeline can become unpredictable. That’s because customs processing is entirely handled by your local customs authorities, and we have no influence over how long that process takes.

Customs Waiting Times Can Vary

Customs clearance times vary from country to country. Some packages are processed in a day or two, while others may take longer—especially if the customs office is experiencing a high volume of shipments or if there are local public holidays, staff shortages, or additional document checks required.

It’s important to note that these customs procedures are not included in the estimated delivery times shown at checkout. Delivery time estimates only cover the shipping period up to your country’s border. Once your package arrives at customs, the timeline is out of our hands.

We understand how frustrating delays can be, especially when you're excited to receive your products. Unfortunately, we don’t have the ability to speed up customs processing, nor can we provide detailed updates once a package is held at customs. All parcels must go through these checks as required by law in each country.

Want a Smoother Delivery Experience? Try FedEx with DDP

If you're looking to minimize the chances of delay and make the process more straightforward, we recommend choosing our FedEx shipping option with DDP (Delivered Duties Paid). With this service, all customs duties and taxes are handled in advance, reducing the likelihood of unexpected fees or paperwork delays on arrival.

FedEx DDP can often speed up the customs clearance process because everything is pre-arranged. It’s a more seamless experience overall, especially for customers who want peace of mind when it comes to international shipping.

In Summary

  • Customs clearance is required for all orders outside the EU.

  • We do not control customs procedures or waiting times.

  • Customs processing is not included in our estimated delivery times.

  • To reduce delivery delays, consider our FedEx DDP shipping option.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as your package makes its way through international shipping channels. At Meroda Cosmetics, we’re committed to getting your order to you as quickly and smoothly as possible.
